How NW-CWM Can Help
The North West Centre for Waste Management
(CWM) programme was developed in 2006 to help businesses in Lancashire,
Cumbria and Greater Manchester to improve their environmental performance,
adopt more sustainable waste management practices, become more competitive
and save money.
It
does this through a range of services,
most of which are delivered to eligible businesses completely free
of charge. The project can help you to reduce costs by minimising
waste and by improving the efficiency of your existing systems and
processes. Already, as you can see on the Case
Studies page of our Resources section, the project has saved
regional businesses many thousands of pounds and has helped them
to introduce measures that will yield further substantial savings,
year on year.
In addition to its various services, the project
has introduced a free environmental awards scheme that is designed
to raise customer awareness about the achievements and enhanced
sustainability of participating companies. Through these awards
and a dedicated publicity campaign, the project can give your business
valuable exposure.
More details about how to take advantage of
the NW-CWM's services can be found on our Getting
Support page, but if you have any specific queries, please contact
us.
